The tailplane tips have been completed
LH tip, showing internal structure.
Also visible is the English wheeling witness marks on the skins. This is to help form some of the fullness shape required to fit over the ribs and formers.
Topside of tailplane with LH tip skins in place. New skins have been wheeled to match the contour of the ribs.
The tip bows have been fabricated from new, using original examples for the shape and hole patterns.
Both LH and RH tip bows matched to each other as well as the original sample. Also visible on the outside of the tip skin are the witness marks from the English wheel, used to add "fullness" to that skin.
