Spar 3 LH + RH
Progress is going very well on the #3 spars, the LH spar has had the inner and outer webs manufactured and the hole pattern marked and drilled.
Complete length of #3 spar on the build box. This keeps the spar straight and true.
The LH outboard spar web acting as the drill guide for the RH side web.
Spar #3 outboard web being drilled off to the web caps. The caps are an Ali extrusion specially formed for P-40 wings as per the Curtiss drawings. Note the flanged holes along the webs length. They are flanged to increase strength and rigidity.
