The theme of these photos is to demonstrate the number of components involved in restoring a relatively small item such as the Fin.
Also of note is that each part has been carefully deburred on all drilled or flanged holes and outer edges.
The parts are then prepped for the alodine treatment then hung up in the paint booth for the Strontium wash primer. As the colour of this primer is a bit hard on the eyes, it is overcoated with a Zincro primer for the traditional colour of WW2 parts.
The wash primer and zincro paint are both a thin formula so as not to end up with too thick paint between laps and under rivets.
The L.E. skin and ribs are the only parts used from the project fin.
